Another day, another lost target, Torres signs for Crawley

Chris Sutton's hopes of signing Sergio Torres have been blown out of the water after it was confirmed that he had signed for Crawley Town. The midfielder had been linked with a third spell at Sincil Bank following two successful loan spells last season, but has joined Blue Square Crawley.
Torres was arguably the best thing that Simon Clark did in his temporary spell in charge back in September last year. The Argentinian joined on loan from Peterborough and impressed many, including scoring the first goal of the Chris Sutton era. His loan spell ended but he was quickly brought back before getting badly injured against Cheltenham in November.
It had been hoped that he would return to Lincoln, but now it has been confirmed that he has signed for Crawley. The Sussex side are describing the fee as "undisclosed and substantial". Steve Evans' men are certainly making themselves noticed in the transfer market having also brought in Pablo Mills from Rotherham.
The Argentinian will almost certainly be one of the best players in the non-League next season and most will be surprised when they hear that a player who is capable of League One Football, is playing in the non-league.

The only thing I can remember was Torres saying he'd speak to Lincoln, as he would any other Club.
I'm not convinced we were in for him.
Everyone on here was singing his praises , he is a very good player, creative and would have been a quality addition, but we can't compete with Crawley anyway.
Torres is selling himself short playing down there.
Can easily play in League 1.
Mind boggles what they are paying him!

It can only be one of two things, money or the desire to be part of a club's footballing history. Crawley are an ambitious side and I suspect they'll win promotion next season.
A=He helps Crawley into the league
B-Plays well enough,get himself a bigger move come january/next summer.
I dread think what he'll do to them.
I wouldn't mind but he's hopeless manager who just rants at people.
You have to listen to his former players to know most can't stand him!

They have then pumped cash into the playing side - Evans will be gone if he doesn't spend it wisely.
They have two very rich benifactors supporting the club, County have one.
