Imps lose Jarrett to international duty

Lincoln City will be without the services of Jarrett for the trip to Chesterfield next Saturday as he has been called up for international duty. He will represent Sierra Leone in a game away at Egypt in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Jarrett has been called up for Sierra Leone's national squad after some fine displays for the Imps so far this season. They will face Egypt on Sunday 5th September, the day after the Imps travel to Chesterfield and in an interview with BBC Radio Lincolnshire, he revealed he was torn about the decision.

"It's an important time at Lincoln, we need to get off to a good start, but it is international football and I was to improve as a player," he said following on from scoring in the game against Crewe.

He will certainly be joining some quality players, with some of the Sierra Leone squad playing for teams such as Rodney Strasser (AC Milan), Mohamed Kamara (Partizan Belgrade) and Kei Kamara (Kansa City Wizards).
