A new manager due next week?

Bob Dorrian has told the BBC that he expects the next manager of Lincoln City to be in place by the end of next week. Around 7 names are belived to be on City's shortlist, with Steve Tilson now the favourite after John Coleman agreed a new contract at Accrington Stanley.

The Imps have now been without a manager for 8 days and in that time they have been linked with numerous well known names around the lower leagues, namely Steve Tilson, John Coleman and Dave Penney, two of whom have had confirmed interest from City.

Dorrian has told the BBC "So far we've picked out six or seven who we think will be worth an interview. We hope that, by next Friday or Saturday, we'll have made our decision and a new manager will be in place. There are two or three who we're looking at who are currently in jobs in the Football League. We have to go with somebody who's got knowledge of lower league football and some kind of proven success, but it won't be a manager who's been around the block a few times."

John Coleman was the favourite for the job but he has now agreed a new deal with Accrington Stanley, arguably making Steve Tislon the favourite.

Get the feeling Tilson could be holding out for a 'bigger' job

According to Red Imps "not a Manager who has been around the block" which could equate to Tilson who has only managed Southend Utd.

The 'round the block' comment would seem to rule out Thompson and Harford which I don't think is entirely wise because they'd be my second choices if we can't get Coleman.
