Former loanee joins Stockport

Anthony Pulis has joined Stockport on loan from Southampton and will make his ambivalently awaited return to Sincil Bank in two weeks. Pulis was on loan at City last season and you could write his contribution to the side on the back of a postage stamp.
Pulis was one of the first signings that Sutton made as Lincoln City manager and it should have been a sign of what to expect. Pulis was as unskilled, passionless and just generally crap as any player seen at Sincil Bank during the last few years.
Last season he was voted by fans as the second worst player to represent City last term, only Khano Smith finished "above" him in the list.
Pulis played 8 times for the Imps on loan from Southampton lst year before getting injured at Rotherham. His injury lead the way to Chris Herd being signed on loan, almost ironically Herd was voted as the second best player to represent the Imps last season, a far cry from Pulis.
He will return to Sincil Bank with his Stockport side on October 23rd.

I'd actually go further and say that the signing (and playing) of Pulis was the first sign that Sutton was a poor manager. We'd won our first two games with Butcher playing reasonably well in a withdrawn role and as soon as Daddy's boy arrived, he was out and we didn't win a league game until Boxing Day.
