Yet another Lincoln City match off

Lincoln City's month long absense from the footballing fixtures world has continued with an eighth consecutive postponement. The game against Shrewsbury was called off on early Tuesday morning, meaning that City's fixture list is continuing to face an ever growing back.

You'd have to go back to November 27th to find the last time Lincoln played, and four days further back to find the last League game that the Imps took part in. Since then three attempts of the FA Cup replay against Hereford, as well as League fixtures against Cheltenham, Oxford, Aldershot, Port Vale and now Shrewsbury have all fallen foul of the weather.

Despite it now having snowed for three weeks, there is still plenty of snow scattered about Lincoln due to the temperature really failing to improve, although it had been hoped that today would be a lot warmer than recent months and therefore, the game given a better chance to be on.

It now all now means that City will still go into their next League game on the back of the 5-0 hammering to Bury that was the last home game for the Imps. However, City are still unbeaten away from home under Tilson and with seven fixtures already due in January, three of them away, the Imps could get a decent amount of points.
