Barnsley confirm interest for Miller

After much recent speculation, Barnsley have confirmed they are interested in Kern Miller. The Lincoln City defender is a product of the youth system, although has only ever made one first team appearance.

Miller is currently out of action for several months following gaining a broken jaw on a night out in Blackpool, yet this isn't putting Mark Robins off of making the move for the young defender.

Speaking to Barnsley's official website, Robins said "We are always looking to improve and there is another one in the pipeline, and a couple bubbling way under that so we are definitely looking to do something in the window."

Kern's contract expires in January, and Lincoln will be entitled to no compensation unless a new contract of equal value is offered. Miller has only ever made one first team appearance for the Imps, coming on as a substitute in a win over Accrington Stanley in April 2009.
