Ex-Imp leaves Chesterfield

Former Lincoln City striker Martin Gritton is searching for a new club after having his contract at Chesterfield terminated by "mutual" consent. He had been on loan at former club Torquay but failed to earn himself a permanent deal.
Gritton joined Lincoln City in the transfer window of 2006 from Grimsby Town. Despite scoring on his debut, Gritton's first team chances were limited and after a loan spell at Mansfield in 2007, he was released at the end of his contract in the pre-season of 2007/8.
He went to Macclesfield before switching to Chesterfield in January 2009. Much like his time at Lincoln though, he failed to make an impact and only scored five times in thirty games. He was loaned out to Torquay but failed to score in any of his 15 appearances at Plainmoor.
He has now been released by mutual consent and is now seeking his tenth club.
