The Football League show takes a week off

The Football League Show will not be transmitted next Saturday due to the Fourth Round of the FA Cup. Despite 20 matches being played in the Football League on Saturday, only four of them being Championship games seems to have convinced the BBC not to show the programme.

It will be the second time in three weeks that the Football League Show will not be shown, that despite being near full programmes in League One and Two. It is believed that the lack of action in the Championship is the deciding factor, with only four games surviving in the Championship for the weekend coming up.

The Football League Show has come under heavy criticism since it's inception due to it's very loose grip on facts. The three best examples involving Lincoln revolve around Manish Bhasin refering to Lincoln vs Hereford as a local derby last season, that despite there being 151 miles between Sincil Bank and Edgar Street when travelling via the quickest route (source : Google Maps).

Recently they have also disrespected Richard Butcher by not doing sufficient research into his death and getting his playing position wrong, and in the latest edition that was shown on the evening of Saturday January 22nd said that Stockport's first goal came after Scott Kerr's free kick was saved by Trevor Carson, that despite Scott Kerr being a Lincoln player.
