Former Imp moves to Southampton

Former Lincoln City midfielder has joined Southampton on loan from Leicester City. The young Frenchman, still only 23, played for the Imps for two and a half seasons but during that time turned out to be a highly frustrating player.
N'Guessan first came to the attention of Lincoln during the days of John Deehan and John Schofield. He was on loan at Boston in the 2006/7 season but joined the Imps from Rangers in January of that season. His first team opportunities were few and far between in his first season, but he did become a first team regular the next season and was the team's regular winger for two seasons.
A player who had the potential to be really good rarely performed consistently. He could excite and frustrate on some many different levels that it was just frustrating. N'Guessan left the Imps at the end of the 2008/9 to go to Leicester City, however, he has only ever made thirty-three League appearances for the Foxes, scoring just three times during that time.
He spent time at Scunthorpe earlier this season before re-linking with Nigel Adkins at Southampton for another loan spell.
