Ex-Imp loaned to Bristol Rovers....and loses 6-1

Former Lincoln striker Rene Howe has yet again left Peterborough on loan, this time to go to Bristol Rovers and he made his debut in a 6-1 thrashing at previously bottom Walsall.

It was Jeff Hughes, another former Imp, who scored Bristol Rovers' consolation in a 6-1 thrashing at Walsall. It was 3-0 to the rock bottom Saddlers at the time and Rene Howe had just made his debut, coming on as a half time substitute.

Howe has joined Bristol Rovers on loan from Peterborough and thus join a group of teams that consists of Rochdale, Morecambe, Lincoln, Gillingham and Rushden in the last two/three years to have the man who calls himself "Legend" on loan.

The big striker was on loan at Sincil Bank at the beginning of last season and subsequently failed to impress, bullying the other players in the team, including forcefully shoving Chris Fagan out of the way so he could score an open goal. He left Lincoln in December of last season and then failed to impress in loan spells at Gillingham and Rushden earlier this season.
