Lincoln United have appointed Terry Fleming as their new manager following John Wilkinson's decision to resign as manager and move up into the Director of Football role at the club.

Fleming was part of Lincoln City's 1997/8 promotion winning side and scored one of City's goals in the 2-1 win over Brighton that secured 3rd place. He has since played for numerous clubs, including Cambridge, Grimsby and Lincoln United, but has now taken his first steps into management.

Former manager John Wilkinson has moved into the role of Director of Football and said about Fleming, " Terry is excited about the prospect (of becoming manager) and was pleased that he would be working closely with me," he told the Lincolnshire Echo. "For myself, I am sad to end it but this is the right thing for the club and the right time to make the change."
