Imps counting cost of Macclesfield game

Lincoln City are counting the costs of the draw at Macclesfield Town on Tuesday night. Delroy Facey is now out for the remainder of the season through a dislocated shoulder, whereas Ben Hutchinson is now suspended for Saturday's game at Stevenage.
The 1-1 draw at Moss Rose saw City do very little attacking but still managed to lose two of the four strikers with a realistic chance of playing. Ben Hutchinson's red card for a second yellow card will mean he will miss Saturday's trip to Stevenage, whereas Delroy Facey may have played his last game for Lincoln.
Facey's contract is up at the end of the season and there are no guarantees he will be offered a new one, meaning that after dislocating his shoulder last night, he could have easily played his last game for the football club.
With Grimes now also on 9 yellow cards and facing a ban against Rotherham if he gets a yellow card on Saturday, it means that we could be faced with a striker crisis that could see a new signing before next week's transfer deadline.
However, it's not all bad news as the injuries and suspensions mean that Scott Spencer could make his first start for the club on Saturday.
