Want to see Alan Shearer's Newcastle debut against Lincoln?
By Nathan Jackson March 17 2011
Lincoln City are once again selling classic matches on DVD and as well as a new one of Lincoln City's trip to Southampton in the League Cup in 1996, you can buy a DVD of Alan Shearer's first ever match in a Lincoln shirt from the same year.
Shearer made his debut for Newcastle at Sincil Bank in a friendly between the sides. The friendly was a result of Darren Huckerby's transfer from City to the Magpies and a bumper crowd saw Shearer make a scoring debut for the North-East side.
However, that is not the only game that the club are currently selling on DVD. City's trip to Southampton in the 1996/7 League Cup is also for sale. A memorable game down at The Dell saw City put a brilliant performance against the then Premiership side. Goals from Mark Hone, father of current City defender Danny, and City legend Gareth Ainsworth made sure the club's drew ahead of the second leg.

Remember the game well and still have some BBC national news footage on a video somewhere. Quite a coup for us at the time and seem to remember us playing quite well - Steve Brown missed an absolute sitter in the first I think.
Well I ordered the Southampton DVD on Thursday evening and it arrived this morning......far better than when you used to order something and you were lucky if it arrived within two weeks.
