Lincoln City lost at Stevenage after the men from the Broadhall Stadium came from behind to secure the points. City went ahead through Grimes before a double from Wilson condemend a limp City to defeat.

Stevenage got the game underway and pumped the ball forward, with a cross across the face of the goal giving City an early warning. Former City goalkeeper Chris Day was forced to race off of his line after Spencer was played through just minuts before the City man miscontrolled a Clapham ball. Danny Hone cleared a corner whilst under pressure from Reid before Howell had to go off injured on his return to first team action, being replaced by Gavin McCallum.

Carayol hit a shot that hit a defender before the corner was wasted by Clapham. before Mousinho fired a volley wide. Grimes and O'Keefe had shots blocked before Reid fired over for the hosts. O'Keefe volleyed over before a Carayol cross hit Laird's arm and the Imps were given a penalty. Grimes stepped up to make it 17 for the season and give City the lead.

Carayol wasted a good chance to make it 2-0 pretty quickly after the goal but it didn't stay 1-0 for long as Clapham played a clearance straight to Mousinho, his shot was parried by Carson and it fell to Wilson, the midfielder looped an effort over Carson and into the net. That was the final incident before the break.

McCallum hit a shot into the side betting before Clapham fouled ex-Imp Foster. Laird and Long were replaced by Winn and Ashton for the hosts an it didn't take long for the Imps to find themselves behind. WIlson received the ball about 25 yards out and curled an effort around and over Carson and into the net.

O'Keefe was booked for a foul on Bostwick before Grimes hit a shot over the bar, only to then go down injured and he was helped off of the pitch after several minutes treatment, finding himself replaced by Andy Hutchinson, the youngster making a rare appearance.

Carson saved an Ashton header before Clapham hit a curling effort straight at Day. Green replaced Hunt for the Imps but neither side could score again before the game ended.
