The squad full of cowards loses again as Blue Square nears

Lincoln City Football Club has a team full of talentless cowards. The heartless, inept, incompetent men who somehow how the nerve to call themselves professional footballers lost yet again at home and on a weekend where everyone else down the bottom was undefeated, the Imps crept closer to the drop zone.

Cheltenham started the game and Danny Andrew had a cross head wide by Smmikle before a Fuseini shot went well wide of the table. Several corners were wasted soon after before McCallum hit a 25 yard effort straight into the hands of Brown. Neither side were creating any chances with the Imps gaining several corners, all of which came to nothing. Hutchinson was booked for taking a free kick too quickly.

A 50:50 challenge between Low and Hone saw the latter come off worse and down injured, Low gaining a yellow card for his efforts. City won more corners before the break but again nothing came of them as the sides entered half time.

Gavin McCallum again wasted several corners but despite plenty of Imps possession, no chances were being created. McCallum won a corner a few minutes later before hitting it against the first defender. Despite City's plentiful possession, there were still no chances being created by the Imps and typically, Cheltenham's first chance on goal went in.

Smikle had missed the target from a yard out but within a mminute a cross in from the right was met by the head of Josh Lowe and Elliott Parish did his usual act of not saving something that wasn't directly at him and Cheltenham were in front from their second attack.

Broughton and Keltie replaced Hutchinson and Kilbey for the Imps before Pook was booked for a foul on McCallum. Fuseini hit a shot wide. Smikle headed a free kick wide before Howell fouled Pack to give CHeltenham a free kick. Andrew hit an effort around the wall and straight into the net to give Cheltenham a 2-0 deficit.

Your post should have said 'A squad full of cowards loses again In front of a poor set of supporters as Blue Square nears

Also what is Tilson thinking playing Ben Hutchinson...the player is utter shite, I really want answers that justify playing him.

Why haven't we terminated his loan?

@#$%& off

I find all the comments about the fans not getting behind the players a bit ridiculous. Around 2,700odd turning up for a team that has been thrashed at home four times this season and haven't even led at Sincil Bank since the win over Southend, isn't that bad.

The fans have shown support for the players all season and gotten sod all reward in return.

Good Luck, Mr Gorsky

I find it ridiculous that a city the size of Lincoln can only get 2,700 fans...Nathan does that not tell you something? Especially as Lincoln City is the citys number 1 side.

And the fans that go are what Roy Keane would call 'Prawn Sandwich' eaters...football at this stage isn't about a fun day out, family day out blah blah blah, its about cheering your team on and motivating them as loud as you can. Then maybe, just maybe, we might actually win. Until the stands start chanting, I can only see one route for this club.

I thought the support, in terms of noise at least, was good today. Even after the 1st goal there was still a bit of chanting. But we simply put up the white flag after their first, didn't create any chances, in fact, I only remember one good chance in the whole game and that was Grimes' shot in the first half. 2,800 fans is a decent effort considering we had lost our last two home games 0-6 and 0-4.

you've got more money than sense clearly.

stay positive, last 2 games are winnable or at least possible to get points from.

as bad as we are we have picked up unlikely points this season.

Agree, lets forget about the past and look at it as a two game season. We can win them both

Clearly, you do not know me.

On another point, how on Earth did you get to University with such spelling and grammatical mistakes in your posts. Just in the one I am quoting, you spell 'justifies' wrong and obviously do not know the difference between 'your' and 'you're' - the latter meaning 'you are' - like I said earlier, Kn0bhead!

Now crawl back into your hole and disappear.

Hungover mate, hungover. Sorry for my terrible 'English' and spelling on an internet forum, my parents would be ashamed. I also apologise for touching a nerve too.

I'm doing Law at University too - can you believe that ey? Unbelievable.

How about we stick to the topic of Lincoln City football club, rather than @#$%& like a group of women?

P.s. very childish and weak to call out somebody on a forum. Like I said to that napolimp, I'm in Oxford on Sat so we can have a chat then if you like?

Be happy to, and maybe give you an English lesson?

Oh, and, by the way, you'll find out whether or not I am a 'prawn sandwich' eater or even maybe a chanter/singer.

Fair enough, doesn't matter - lets just make sure we cheer our team to 3 points on Saturday.

Lets forget about it, lets just pull together and act as the 12th man for the next 2 games...there's a reason the fans get called the 12th man. Come on imps!

Nathan - spot on, mate. BLT every time!

Roy - yeah, look forward to seeing you again. We bought our tickets yesterday. I wonder if it will be joy or heartache? Could be "the best trip, I've ever been on!"

Regarding those prawns, I admit to having had a jacket potato with cottage cheese and, wait for it...

PRAWNS, at school today. It was a training day and that's what we were given!

I had a Prawn Salad for lunch; although it was out of a plastic box from Asda.

Me and the boy should be there on Saturday too. The elder one has chosen to view the Dinosaur Fossils at Oxford University Museum and go shopping with his mum. We shall see who made the better choice by 4.50pm.

Some might argue that we will all be seeing some 'dinosaur fossils' on the pitch?
