Reaction to Joe Anyon's 2010/11

Now that we've been relegated we will start reviewing all of the performances of the players and where better to start with the "supposed" number one at Lincoln. Anyon got off to a reasonable start but things quickly started going against him and he last played in the City net in January.

Joe Anyon arrived at Lincoln City to replace Rob Burch. A recommendation by Paul Musselwhite was enough to convince then-manager Chris Sutton that he would be the ideal replacement for the former number one.
Making his debut against Rotherham United, he did concede goals on a regular basis but in all fairness, early on there wasn't a lot he could do about the majority of them. However, as the season wore on his mistakes began to become more evident and come on a more regular basis.
He quickly gained the nickname Joke Anyon after his consistent mistakes were costing the Imps point and the home game against Wycombe on January 15th turned out to be the final occasion that he would turn out in an Imps jersey. He conceded a poor goal that day, letting a tame free kick in and he never recovered, that despite saving a penalty (although it was going wide).
Trevor Carson was bought to the club and generally did well before Anyon joined Morecambe on loan. He didn't impress there though and his loan wasn't renewed. He returned in mid-April but didn't gain his spot back, that despite Elliott Parish's inability to save shots, and his Lincoln future is in doubt, that despite him being under contract next season.

Parish doesn't know whether to come out or stay on his line
Can't collect or punch crosses and any shots either side of him are definite goals
If he hadn't moved I think the penalty would have hit him from where I was sitting but could be wrong
He gives me the impression he looses concentration easily but as he's a loanee probably he couldn't be bothered if we were going down as long as he was getting experience
Not at fault for any of the goals today BUT he did flap at a corner just before they scored.....Need an experiened keeper
the only person responsible for joe's drop in form (along with the rest of team, i may add) is tilson - his management style is shocking and does not instil confidence or belief - the majority of players openly stated shortly after tilson came in that they didn't want to play for him - and haven't they showed it
and you also mention that joe did@#$%&at morecambe - well i would suggest that being in team of the week, a man of the match, saving a penalty and conceding 2 goals in 5 games says different
jesus h christ, the lad still gets @#$%& for saving a penalty (when it was going wide)!!!!!
GIVE US ALL A BREAK AND LAY OFF HIM - HE PROBABLY WON'T BE AT LINCOLN FOR MUCH LONGER ANYWAY
