Reaction to Josh O'Keefe's 2010/11

Josh O'Keefe joined a year ago and you'd be hard pushed to find many positive contributions he has made during the last twelve months. I am going to struggle to find anything positive to say about the only midfielder here permanently that didn't make one single assist.

If ever there was a player who made no impact on games, only Drewe Broughton would appear higher on the list than Josh O'Keefe. Other than the odd goal here and there, O'Keefe did nothing throughout the entire season and was the only midfielder here permanently who didn't get a single assist, which when you consider the amount of games he played makes it even more amazing.

I think you tend not to notice a new player until after a few games here and there, but the problem is that months and months went by without you really noticing O'Keefe, games just seemed to pass him by. The worst part about it is that the managerial team (both Sutton/Pearce and Tilson/Brush) didn't seem to notice that O'Keefe wasn't contributing.

In the second half of the season he got marginally better, scoring the odd goal here and there and to be fair they were good goals, though some of them were seemingly hit then in a hit and hope manor rather than actually being intended to be like that.

Although he has a year left on his contract, I wasn't surprised Tilson told him he is free to leave.
