Former Imp Reid joins Telford

Former Lincoln City striker James Reid has joined Telford. Reid was at the Imps towards the end of the 2009/10 season, initially on a trial basis, following his release from Nottingham Forest. His impressive goalscoring record for the reserves wasn't rewarded in terms of league appearances though.

Reid was released last summer after somehow managing to convince Chris Sutton to give him a contract after an impressive trial and then not play him. Reid didn't make a single appearance for the Imps after being released by Nottingham Forest. He scored 14 goals in the Blue Square North for Hinckley last season and has now linked up with Telford United.

He is one of two players who have joined the BucksHead Stadium based Telford, the other being Robbie Williams, who joins from the New Saints in the Welsh Premier.
