City fans have choice between two friendlies in one night

Lincoln City fans will have a choice between two friendlies on July 19h after the Imps arranged a second match to take place on that night. Originally it was just a trip to Barton Old Boys but now Lincoln United have announced a fixture against City on that day.

Lincoln City and United fell out in 2008 after the Whites blamed their relegation on Lincoln's reserve team using their pitch, since then the Imps' first team has only travelled to a friendly at Lincoln United once.

Steve Tilson's pre-season programme has seen a return to the local area after last season's mini-tour of the London area. Trips to Ilkeston, Boston and Gainsborough have been arranged but now the Imps fans will have to make a choice on July 19th as City will send sides to Lincoln United and Barton Old Boys.

With Lincoln United being higher up in the non-league pyramid, it is likely that City's first team will be heading there and the youth team heading up to Barton.
