Cian Hughton on trial at Bristol Rovers

Former Lincoln City midfielder Cian Hughton has joined Bristol Rovers on trial. Despite initially going to Canada to try his luck after being released by the Imps, he played in a friendly for Bristol Rovers tonight.

Hughton spent two years at Sincil Bank and won many fans in his first season, being arguably the last good signing that Peter Jackson made. Despite this, he had a poor second year and it wasn't a surprise when he was released following the expiration of his contract.

After initially spending time in Canada, Hughton tonight played for Bristol Rovers in a friendly against Mangotsfield, a game the Gas comfortably won 5-1. Fellow-Imp Mustapha Carayol did not play in the match.

Bristol Rovers will go up next season I think, made some real good signings and Paul Buckle is a top manager.
Signing Cia Hughton may look bad because he was cack for us, but he could easily get the best out of him am sure if required
