Tony Sinclair joined the Imps in the summer of 2011 following his release from League Two side Gillingham. Sinclair hadn't been a regular at Priestfield but he did have extensive experience with non-league teams before joining the Gills.

Final Game : 7th January 2012 vs York

Tony Sinclair, Gillingham Sinclair started his career at Gillingham his his two year scholarship was not renewed. He soon joined up with Beckenham Town following his release and he spent two years with the Kent based side. His time at Beckenham lasted two years before a spell at Maidstone, but he was back at Beckenham within a year.

Fisher Athletic became his third team of the 2006/7 season before making it four clubs in a year as he spent two years at Welling United. Two years at Welling were followed by a one year spell in the Blue Square South with Woking. He was a near ever present for Woking and his performances earnt him a move back to Gillingham, the club he had left seven years earlier.

Gillingham were expected to do well but didn't start the season well and he was part of a defence that conceded seven goals at Accrington Stanley, ironically he replaced ex-Imp Josh Gowling in that match, it would be Gowling's last appearance for Gillingham until returning from a loan spell at Sincil Bank.

It's safe to say that Sinclair had a difficult first year as a professional and despite being a regular, he was dropped after a 2-1 win at Barnet in November. He would play just five more games for Gillingham and in those games they would lose home games to Barnet and Macclesfield by a scoreline of 4-2. He was released soon afterwards.

Sinlair signed up for the Imps in July 2011 along with former Gillingham team-mate, John Nutter. He became a consistent member in the defence but all of a sudden he completely disappeared in the latter half of the season, making his final appearance in a game against York just after the New Year.

Sinclair was released at the end of the 2011/12 season but by then most had forgotten about him,
