Jamie Taylor became Steve Tilson's first signing of the summer in 2011. The 5ft 7 striker has a wealth of experience in non-league and scored 19 goals in all competitions for a side that got relegated in 2010/11. He spent two years at Sincil Bank.

Lincoln will rarely find a striker with as much experience in the non-league as Jamie Taylor. The small striker has only ever spent one season outside of the non-league and his goals:games ratio for some clubs has been excellent.

He started life at Broadbridge Heath before moving to Horsham in 2001. A year later and Aldershot Town signed him. Two years, 32 appearances, 5 goals and loan spells at Horsham and Carshalton later he was on his way to AFC Wimbledon. It was at the Dons that he enjoyed the best spell of his career up until that point, scoring 10 in 25 games before moving onto join former loan club Horsham on a permanent deal.

Woking signed him in 2006 and a year later he was signed by Dagenham as they prepared for life in the Football League. He played sixteen games in their Football League season, scoring his one and only goal in that time against Wrexham in a 3-0 win. He had a loan spell at Grays during that year, scoring 9 goals in 16 games before joining them permanently. His permanent spell was less successful, scoring just 3 in 18.

His next port of call was Eastbourne Borough. His first season was nothing to right home about but his second saw nineteen goals in all competitions and that was enough to convince Steve Tilson to sign him in the summer of 2011.

His 2011/12 season was full of injuries and restricted him to few appearances, however, he excelled in a relatively injury free 2012/13 season, ending the year as the club's leading goalscorer, including what many say were three of the most vital goals of the club's history. Taylor hadn't scored many in the 2013 part of the season but his brace turned around a match against Telford, and his equaliser a week before the end of the season gave City encouragement to get a win that ultimately helped secure safety from relegation.

Taylor left the Imps at the end of that season and joined Sutton giving him the opportunity to be closer to his family.
