Imps reveal new, yet somehow familiar away kit

For the second time in fifteen years Lincoln have an away kit of green and white hoops. The new away kit was unvealed at Community Day on Sunday and received a generally mixed reception, although many have cited it as being better than the home kit.

Lincoln's new away kit is green and white hoops, similar to the Celtic home shirt and almost identical to an away kit from the late 1990's (that kit shown on the left, the new away kit modelled on the right by Kyle Perry).

It is the second new Lincoln City kit to be released in this pre-season following on from the home kit around a month ago. The home received a very mixed reaction, and judging by the lack of large numbers of people wearing the kit at the friendlies, the home kit has not been a hit so far.

The away kit has generally been given a better feedback than that home shirt, although the similarities to the kit of the late 1990's have been noted by a lot of fans on the various Lincoln City forums. 

City's first change to wear the new away kit in competitive action will be the opening game of the season at Southport, who play in yellow.

Although the third kit has yet to be announced, many believe it to be the same as the current home kit, but with blue replacing the red.
