In our latest statisfaction with look at goalscoring stats throughout the careers of each player. Whilst it reveals that Perry and Smith have decent ratios, it's Jamie Taylor who sits proudly at the top of the table with 56 goals in his career.

Taylor has made more appearances during his career than Perry and Smith combined, but has also scored more than the two combined. His career average sits at a goal just shy of every four games.

Perry, who failed to score during a spell at Port Vale, has 29 career goals but more than half of those were scored last season. He has averaged a goal every four and a half games during his career.

Smith's goal against Wrexham was his fifteenth in competitive football. He already leads the scoring charts with 2 from 3 games for the Imps, and during his career, of which a lot of his appearances have been from the bench, he has still averaged a goals:games ratio of a goal every 4.6 goals.

The only other recognised striker on the list is Andy Hutchinson, who has hit the net just three times during his career, and two of those came for clubs in the division below where City are now. People will argue that most of his appearances have come from the bench, but Smith's stats show you don't need to actually start many games during your career to have a good goals:games ratio.

Gavin McCallum is fourth with a goal every 5.35 games, with Simon Russell just behind him.

As you'd expect, the bottom of the list has a defender on it, but midfielder Ali Fuseini is in the penultimate spot, scoring just twice during his career......even some defenders have scored more than that.
