Imps handed away tie in FA Trophy

Lincoln City have been handed an away tie in the FA Trophy against the winners of the 4th Qualifying Round match between Colwyn Bay and FC Halifax Town. The two sides will face each other in a replay on Tuesday night at Halifax's The Shay.

Lincoln City haven't faced a club baring the name Halifax since the 2003/4 when Kevin Sandwith scored the only goal of the game to send Halifax Town into the semi finals of the LDV Vans Trophy. He would go on to sign for the Imps later on in the season. The Imps also recently signed Tyrone Thompson, a former FC Halifax player.

If Colwyn Bay win the replay then City will be spending a third Saturday in four weeks in Wales, following on from the defeat at Wrexham and Saturday's match at Newport.

Both sides are in the Blue Square North, one step beneath the Imps.

The replay between Colwyn Bay and FC Halifax will be played on Tuesday 29th, with the winner hosting City on December 10th.

Elsewhere in the draw there were only 4 all Blue Square Premier ties, whereas local rivals Boston host Hyde United, Worksop host Tamworth and Ilkeston will face Fleetwood if they can win their replay against Northwich.
