I'm guessing after Saturday's display against Ipswich, police won't consider Coventry City as suspects regarding the disappearance of two laptops and a camcorder, which held details of the Suffolk sides tactics! They were almost as average as Nottingham Forest, but we never really looked like beating them.

And my powers of prediction when I don't have money on the outcome of a game are uncanny, with 2-2 predicted seconds after Morrison's goal! That said, it wouldn't take a genius to predict we wouldn't win at home. But for Kieran Westwood, it could have been worse. If our team had a defence able to stay awake for the entire duration of a game, his saves would be match-winning. Instead, they're usually point saving at best. He is proving to be an absolute bargain, and holding onto him is an absolute must.

As well as Westwood, I hope Fox, Dann, Gunnarsson, Eastwood and Morrison are all still here when the transfer window closes again. Aside from those listed, I couldn't care less who leaves in January! I would add Wright and McKenzie to that list, but, with both players seemingly made of glass, it's difficult to see them being a massive part of Chris Coleman's plans, which is a shame, as both improve the look of the first team when they are included.

Those eight would make up the bulk of a more than useful side (Especially as amongst them there now appears to be a dead-ball specialist!), though there is only half a midfield to call on, because Mifsud and Tabb don't seem to be as influential as they have been previously.

I'll happily wave goodbye to both of them (In Tabb's case because I believe he's already as good as gone), especially if their replacements are able to get anywhere near throw-ins and corners, rather than merely watching the big-boys play head tennis. The weapon that is Gunnarsson's throw-in is fairly wasted with so many potential recruits for Ken Dodd's Diddy Men competing (Or not!) in the air. Pace, and the ability to use it properly, would also be useful in any possible new recruits.

Tabb recently had a dig at supporters due to their lack of noise, but maybe if certain players weren't a pale shadow of their former 'Player Of Last Season' selves, supporters might just find their voice again? If he wants better support, I would suggest he either joins in a bit more, or he treats himself to a deluxe jockstrap! He can be a match-winner, but he's been anonymous to often this season.

It's nice to see Michael Mifsud looking slightly more interested recently, though I'm sure it's only a coincidence that it's happening when the chance to escape could be only weeks away. There are rumours that he still wants to be played as an out-and-out striker, but it clearly isn't going to happen here - Eastwood and Morrison are far better options up front. Eastwood will properly prove his worth when the supply from midfield improves.

Ward and Best have both recently been linked with swap deals, and while both are quality players on their day, their day doesn't always seem to coincide with the day we play! In the case of Ward, I'm not quite sure about the logic of swapping a defender that a few years back helped a team gain promotion from the Championship to the Premiership for a player (David Bell) that helped two sides get relegated last season!

With a recent poll amongst Hartlepool supporters seeing 56% declare Kevin Kyle 'a plank', the beginning of next year could have a disappointing start should he be returned to us! Those wages could be used to far better effect, so I hope his agent is making sure his future still remains elsewhere.
