QPR 1-1 Coventry [ Late! ]

A superb display from 10-man Coventry City almost earned an unlikely three points, before a late lapse in concentration saw QPR equalise, meaning Coventry City failed to make it four consecutive wins at Loftus Road.

Despite the disgraceful £30 fee for entering the afore-mentioned stadium, there was a decent turn-out of Sky Blues supporters, most of whom were probably less than surprised to see Gary Borrowdale NOT included for the home side!

A slightly harsh red card for Stephen Wright saw Coventry reduced to 10-men before half-time, with stand-in right-back Gunnarsson become a stand-in central defender, and Jay Tabb becoming a stand-in right-back! Wright's opinion of the match official was: 'some of the decisions the ref was giving on the day were beyond a joke'.

Coventry's injury list had another name added to it as Leon Best was caught by debutant Routledge, fracturing his cheekbone (And out for between four and six weeks), and he was replaced by Leon McKenzie.

On 73 minutes another quality Dan Fox free-kick saw the away side take the lead - and the left-back increase his potential value in the transfer market! - scoring his fourth goal in seven games. Manager Chris Coleman took the credit for the goal, telling him if he was to take the set piece, he HAD to shoot!

Morrison missed a late chance to win the match for City, but a point away at money-bags Rangers, especially after losing the player organising the defence with less than 40 minutes played, has to be seen as a decent result.
