More Injuries, And No Signings....

Injury woe for Best, no-go woe for Mifsud, and Jay Tabb becomes a fully paid up member of the 'Obvious Things To Say Club' - a career on the Football Focus sofa awaits....

With Coventry City suffering a defensive crisis, Chris Coleman reveals the club are set to bring in another striker! But he doesn't reveal the player's identity, only stating he is a: 'promising young centre-forward .... he is currently with another English club'.

Following weeks/months of attempting to bring in Icelandic youngster Johan Berg Gudmundsson, said signing now looks unlikely to happen, with the reported fee of £215,000 seemingly not enough for the 18-year-old. How about a straight swap for Mifsud?

Coventry City have reportedly held talks with another club about getting rid of Michael Mifsud, though nothing has yet been finalised. Real Madrid have denied they are seeking his services to replace Kaka, despite the fact they would still have £58 million change from the fee Manchester City look set to pay for the Brazilian god-botherer.

Having finally signed what looked a quality right-back in Stephen Wright last summer, Chris Coleman has stated he might leave him in said position after his impressive displays there over recent weeks! Could there be many more hints that Elliott Ward is on his way out of the club?

Wright might have competition for a central defensive place from Ben Turner, who has signed a two-year extension to his current contract after some decent recent displays.

Jay Tabb has come out and stated the right bleeding obvious by saying Dan Fox's goals will alert Premiership clubs to his potential. Tabb was also apparently watched by Reading yesterday, which means he has no hope of getting a move....

Tabb also revealed that he tried to hide from Chris Coleman after Steve Wright's dismissal last week, because he didn't want to play at right-back. Judging by the way he's been hiding for a lot of this season, I'm guessing he doesn't want to play in many positions while still at Coventry City....
