Two defeats, and out of the top six....

Over 20,000 home fans turned up for this one (As well as 6,000+ away fans), but defeat meant some of those 'stayaways' will probably continue to do just that - stay away. A soft early goal, followed by another avoidable goal, inside the first half, gave Leeds a two-goal lead, before Coventry City opted to fight back (Whereas the Coventry City of old would probably have waved the white flag of surrender, so this has to be seen as an improvement). Marlon King was on as a substitute from the thirtieth minute as Platt limped off injured, which gave the Leeds supporters even more to sing about! Jutkiewicz scored his first goal from open play six minutes into the second half, but, just as the fight-back looked on, a soft penalty conceded by Keogh, saw Gradel make the score 1-3. Ben Turner reduced the deficit two minutes later, then produced a few moments of quality defending (Including one superb save on the line when a Leeds goal looked a certainty) as the home side went looking for the draw, and the away side sought to score on the break. King, McSheffrey, and Jutkiewicz all had chances to equalised, but failed to beat Brown (Time-waster extraordinaire throughout) and earn the draw.

Player-of-the-season so far (For Coventry City at least!), Ben Turner, was missing for this match, and replaced in the centre of defence by James McPake, while King also replaced the injured Platt. Coventry City supporters had very little to shout about for most of the first half, but took the lead when Gunnarsson or a Chambers own goal gave the away side the lead on 34 minutes. With Forest unbeaten at home for over a year, it was little surprise when Majewski equalised for the hosts soon after. Clingan and Keogh had efforts saved either side of the break, before Gunnarsson missed a glorious chance to put Coventry City 2-1 ahead. It proved costly soon afer as Cohen gave Forest the lead. An injury to Clingan, putting him out for six weeks, saw Doyle replace the former Forest man. King missed another decent chance with ten minutes left, while the away side missed a fair few chances to equalise late on too.
