Michael Doyle Finally Leaves The Building....

(Usually) High on effort, sadly, low on most other necessary qualities, Michael Doyle has left the Ricoh, to join up with former CCFC boss Micky Adams at Sheffield United.
Doyle joined Coventry City from Celtic in 2003 (Though it seems like longer), and made 286 appearances in a Sky Blues shirt (Plus eleven substitute appearances), scoring twenty-two times. He was seen by some as one of the reasons Coventry City never managed to climb out of The Championship.
His best spell of form at the Ricoh came during the 2005/6 season, when he played alongside Dennis Wise (Aidy Boothroyd's decision to bring in Lee Carsley was possibly in the hopes Doyle could re-discover the same sort of form, but said experiment failed), but Wise's departure saw 'normal service' resumed.
Doyle spent last season on loan at Leeds, where he was classed as not good enough for League One by some United supporters (Where, according to 'soccerbase', he played 52 times, and failed to score - though he did pick up ten yellow cards!), and obviously was rated as not good enough for the Championship by Simon Grayson too, who opted not to take him to Elland Road when they gained promotion.
Doyle, according to reports, left for no fee, and the rumoured £8,000+ weekly salary the club will be saving will hopefully go towards bringing in somebody more likely to help push the club into the top half of the table.
