That Clive Platt Rumour, And....

Clive Platt, who I have on occasion suggested might be half-a-second behind everybody else (Only football-wise, obviously), has played down speculation linking him with a move to Leicester.

The story was posted on Twitter on transfer deadline day by BBC Coventry & Warwickshire presenter Stuart Linnell.

Platt commented that there was no truth in the rumour, and that he didn't know where it had come from. Note to Clive Platt: try reading the second paragraph of this story....

Coventry supporters gave a mixed reaction to this potential move, with comments ranging from: 'Please be true!', to: 'I'll drive him there myself if it will help seal the deal'.

Platt has also defended under-fire manager Aidy Boothroyd, and, along with Kieran Westwood, has blamed the players Boothroyd selects for the current dire run of form. The players Boothroyd continues to select.

(Due to the fickle nature of the football supporter, Platt will be elevated to 'god-like' status after his hat-trick versus Leeds this afternoon.)
