Connor Thomas Learning From The Best

Liverpool's surprise transfer deadline day signing, Coventry City's 17-year-old Connor Thomas, is in good hands according to the Coventry Telegraph, after they revealed Stephen Gerrard is mentoring him.

Thomas, who was sold without the consent of Aidy Boothroyd, is, according to the article, getting lifts to training and one-to-one sessions from the England international. A step up on learning from Doyle and or Carsley, me thinks!

Bizarrely, Coventry City have already as good as stated they do not want Thomas back on loan in the future. Seemingly good enough for Liverpool (Who it is said have been watching him for a long time), but not Coventry City? Little wonder that we're permanently stuck around the bottom of the Championship....
