Coventry Down To 18th

Doncaster's victory over Derby County saw Coventry City drop another place in the Championship table.

Coventry City's next two fixtures are against the sides just above them in the table: 17th placed Bristol City (At home) on Saturday, followed by 16th place Doncaster (Away) next Tuesday (Doncaster are away to Leeds on Saturday, while Bristol City are at home to improving Portsmouth next Saturday). 

Coventry City have a game-in-hand on both sides, and also Derby, Crystal Palace and Sheffield United, of the teams below them.

Scunthorpe's defeat away to Portsmouth tonight kept the gap between Coventry City and third from bottom to nine points, with Coventry and Scunthorpe both having played 33 games.
