In a desperate attempt to drum up the slightest interest in next season (Before this one has even properly finished), Coventry City have said that they intend to reveal season 2011/12's kit 'a bit at a time'.
This includes, apparently, building a new shop window, and linking a 'KitCam' to provide a live stream of the kit as it 'emerges'. Yes, really.
Feedback has been sought for the new kit from a number of people, on what has been described as a 'crucial decision', though, to re-visit a sentence I seem to trot out every season, the colour and style of the kit is absolutely irrelevant, and the side can play in bin bags for all I care, as long as they show any sort of enthusiasm and try and win a game or two.
The kit is supposedly 'unique' (Which might mean it will be filled by competent players that actually take pride in wearing it), and the final, complete design, will be revealed before the final home fixture of the season, versus Reading. Rumour has it the word 'Championship' won't be included on the sleeves, just in case....
Joe Elliott claims the kit is Coventry City's best in half a century, though I doubt the would say 'I prefer the old one', even if it was far better. Pre-orders will be taken from April 30, with the kit available in-store from June 3. Should the rest of the season continue as the last fifteen matches have, the need to queue is unlikely.
There is a chance to get a free kit, which has something to do with nPower. I guess you'll find said details if you're that bothered....
