Playing Catch Up : Point Earned, But It Should Be Three

Having failed to win away versus Doncaster in seven attempts, Coventry City were two minutes away from ending that record. Failure to see out a game increased the run to eight games.

McSheffrey, Bell, and Jutkiewicz all had efforts for Coventry inside the first twenty minutes, before Eastwood scored his first goal in a while to give the away side the lead. 

The away side were denied two penalties in the first half, one for a foul on McSheffrey, and one for hand-ball, while Quirke made a quality save just after half-an-hour to keep the scoreline at 1-0. 

A Gunnarsson effort just went over the Doncaster bar after the re-start, Jutkiewicz hit the bar early on in the second half too, while Clingan also missed a decent chance to make it 2-0. 

Having failed to increase the lead, Quirke made another fine save to keep Coventry ahead on 68 minutes, and another ten minutes later. 

With only minutes to go, Hayter denied Coventry the chance to leap-frog the hosts in the table, and Quirke a clean sheet in his second appearance for the club, scoring Doncaster's equaliser.
