When the best thing about the first half of a football match is the chicken-curry pie you've just eaten, you know there is something wrong.

When season ticket holders are wasting the season ticket they have already paid for by not turning up on matchdays, you know there is something wrong.

 And when those same die-hards are saying there is know way they will renew next season, you know there is something very wrong. 

The football was dire, the results not good enough, so the decision to release Aidy Boothroyd was the correct one. I'm stunned anybody genuinely thought Boothroyd could still turn it round. 

Boothroyd was in danger of equalling or beating the 2002/3 record of eleven Championship defeats in a season - absolutely unacceptable. 

I recently checked through all of AB's quotes since we beat Middlesboro - a career in politics is surely on the cards?! The positive spin he managed to put on every defeat had me wondering if he was actually on about Coventry City. 

Injuries to key players, such as Sammy Clingan, was one reason/excuse given for our alarming slump. This being the same Clingan whose passing ability was bypassed by the tactic known as hoof-ball when he was available?

Hoof-ball is okay(ish) as a tactic if your side is filled with giants that could give Linford Christie a run for his money, but how many of our attacking options match that description? 

Boothroyd apparently favoured the 'percentage game'. Me too. The one Bristol City recently played: three shots, three goals. 

A fair few supporters blame the lack of investment for our current woes. I don't, I blame the tactics. For the couple of hours Coventry City played football along the floor this season, they actually looked half-decent.

Those in charge of funds have always stated we need 20,000+ just to break even - we're not even close to that. The club have tried speculating to accumulate before, and it just didn't work. 

Aside from any player that could add thousands to our attendance being way out of our budget anyway, the likelihood is that their footballing brain would be far to ahead of the rest of the squad to actually be effective (As a fair few seem to think Marlon King is). 

Supporters have suffered mostly garbage in the ten years since dropping out of the top flight. The only records we ever seem to create are unwanted. The law of averages says eventually something has to change. 

The caretaker management almost ended the dismal run of not winning a fixture after going behind (Around 44 matches since this happened), and, had Gunnarsson got anything on a cross late on versus Burnley, they would have managed three goals in a match for only the 28th time in 295 matches.
