King's City Stunner!*

In a move that will have shocked absolutely nobody in reality, Marlon King has signed for Birmingham City, a team not looking financially knacked, and who are looking towards the top of the Championship table next season, rather than mid-table obscurity or lower.
In yet another woefully handled piece of Coventry City business, where something that might happen was revealed before it should have been, news that Marlon King was going to stay with the club was about as good a piece of news that could be expected from a club in such a poor financial state.
Since King's departure there has been claim and counter claim about what has gone on behind the scenes, with King claiming he had verbally agreed a three year contract, and his agent claiming he was waited for two weeks for the club to put this in writing. The fact is that Coventry City have allowed one of the best players to wear a Sky Blue shirt since relegation to leave, rather than getting him to sign his name on the dotted line.
King's departure from the club will see the return of one local dummy-out-the-pram councillor, who vowed not to visit the Ricoh while the potential 20-goals-a-season player was at the club....
