Coventry City lost to lower league opposition in the Carling Cup, barely any supporter was surprised, and there seems little evidence that things will improve on or off the pitch anytime soon....

Manager Andy Thorn described the display as 'shameful', though the Coventry City supporters that bothered travelling up for this fixture (And there were a fair few of them) would probably have given a more accurate description.

Here are the list of players that added their names to the catalogue of poor defeat at the hands of supposedly inferior opposition:

TEAM: Murphy, Christie, Hussey, Keogh, Wood (McPake 46), Bell, Cranie, Bigirimana, McSheffrey (Thomas 80), O'Donovan, Jutkiewicz. SNU: Dunn, Cameron, Jeffers, Wilson, Ruffles.

For the record, O'Donovan had a goal disallowed after 20 minutes, O'Donovan scored for Coventry City five minutes later, Bishop equalised soon after, McSheffrey missed a sitter, and Lowe scored, then scored again, for Bury.

Details of Leicester City defeat to follow....
