Cov Lose At Ipswich

A completely garbage Coventry City display, with the only positive being Cody McDonald being in the right place to miss, or be denied, four times.

The so far impressive Bigirimana was withdrawn before half-time, though it was only possibly because of his noticeable hair-style that his poor display was noticed over certain other players.

His replacement, McSheffrey, did nothing to justify coming on in the youngsters place, while Bell and Baker were arguably worse. Bell's only contribution to the game was a booking, while Baker's was to get injured.

Chopra could have scored a hat-trick or more, but (Thankfully) failed to find the target once, while Ipswich players queued up to waste chances.

Following Cranie's stunning own goal, Andrews made it game over with just fifteen minutes played, and even Jason Scotland managed to get on the score-sheet, afer wandering past some feeble attempts at tackling him.

Defender Sonko was forced off injured after thirty(ish) minutes for the home side, though so poor was Coventry's display, Ipswich didn't really need to replace him.

Adding insult to injury was the disgraceful entrance fee of over £30 - something which Ipswich surely need pulling up on? If most of the Coventry City players were honest, they would be refunding said money out of the wages they didn't earn to those supporters that made the long, wasted journey.

As if all that wasn't annoying enough, the TV commentator referred to Portman Road as Carrow Road at least twice (Possibly even more annoying to an Ipswich supporter), and kept calling somebody in the Coventry defence 'Christie' after Christie had been replaced. Pillock.

Andy Thorn has talked about being hopeful of bringing in loan signings. Replacements for Bell (For some reason recently given a four-year contract .... WHY? WHY? WHY?) and Baker would massively improve the side.

TEAM: Murphy, Christie (Cameron 75), Keogh, Hussey, Cranie, Baker (Inj. 93), Bigirimana (McSheffrey 43), Bell, Clingan, McDonald (O''Donovan 69), Jutkiewicz. SNU: Dunn, Thomas.
