NOT The Coventry Telegraph Article 4 Season 2011/12!

Such was my enthusiasm for all things Coventry City, I accidentally sent off my regular article a week early! On the off chance Coventry City stun the footballing world by winning on Saturday, I've opted to post this now while it's all still relevant....
If Coventry City were an animal, the vet would have put it out of its misery by now. The club currently has so few redeeming features, it would be a waste of paper trying to list them on a post-it note.
When you hit rock-bottom, according to the song, 'the only way is up'. Sadly for Coventry City, 24th is as good as it looks like getting this season, with League One looking a certainty. We're probably going down with a record low points score, and with barely a whimper (Seven points adrift already), unless something changes drastically.
Come January, I would gladly wave goodbye to almost every player available to us, with the exceptions of Jutkiewicz and Cranie, and one or two youngsters. Sadly, I doubt we would find many takers for any of the rest on this seasons form. It is still my opinion that there is a decent XI amongst the squad (Far to pace free though!), but I have simply given up waiting for them to gel or join in properly.
Sammy Sideways is supposedly being offered £8,000 a week to stay. I wonder how much we would have to pay him to pass the ball forwards every so often? As for his recent comment of 'if I get the chance to shoot I will', this is simply another in a long line of non-sensical comments from our players this season.
With the exception of last weekends after-match interview, where he finally called it about right, Andy Thorn seems to have been watching a different match to supporters over the last few months. His: 'we've had great performances recently' (Amongst our three draws and six defeats) comment is the strongest evidence of this.
I was also bemused by the fact he brought in Gardner, a player some Villa fans think should be in their first team, let alone a struggling Championship side, then played him in a position he has never played before. Genius.
Some supporters have come up with the bright idea of boycotting the Southampton game in the FA Cup (A real money spinner of a tie if ever there was one anyway), in a bid to force SISU out. I guess they will be the same people moaning the following Monday when Jutkiewicz is sold to make up for the short-fall said fixture was hoping to bring in....
