Missing match report 5 to 8.
v Cardiff : Turner and Gunnarsson returned to the Ricoh for the first time since leaving Coventry City with the former receiving a better reception than the latter! It was the latters pass that picked out City reject Peter Whittingham minutes into the second half, and he once again scored against the side that, in hindsight, probably now wish they had held onto him. Jutkiewicz's equaliser was possibly one of the few bits of luck the home side have enjoyed this season, just crossing the line, and actually being spotted as having done so by a match official.

v WHU : For once, the twenty per cent(ish) of the ground that is the away section was filled, as Coventry City reached a break-even attendance figure. On the pitch, Clive Platt opened the scoring on 32 minutes for the home side, but two West Ham substitutes, Cole and Piquionne, scored within seven second half minutes (On 68 minutes and 75 minutes) to turn this match on its head. Despite the defeat, this was one of Coventry City's better displays (To quote Mark Bishop of BBC Sport: 'Coventry totally dominated the first half'), and it is surely only a coincidence that said improvement happened with the ditching of the diamond formation?

v Southampton : To steal quotes from the national press, there were 'boos from a sparse crowd' as a poor first half finished (Where Coventry City's midfield seemingly stayed in the dressing room); followed by an improved performance, mainly 'on the basis that [Coventry City] couldn't get much worse', which included a 'fierce Coventry fight-back'. That said, Coventry City lost once again, going down 4-2 to the table toppers. All four goals were massively avoidable, with the Saints 2-0 lead (Thanks to Chaplow and Lallana) wiped out by Jutkiewicz and Platt, before Do Prado and De Ridder finished the match as a contest.

v Millwall : Having competed well against Millwall for the first 45 minutes, Coventry City failed to turn up for the second half, and were hammered 3-0. McDonald missed a sitter just after half-an-hour, while Keogh made a quality goal-line stop to deny Millwall a first-half lead, before McSheffrey hit the bar just before half-time. That was pretty much it for the away side as Henderson scored twice (On 51 and 68 minutes) and Feeney once (81 minutes) as Millwall strolled to victory.
