Reality Bites.....

The grim reality that Coventry City are in Division Three finally came home after the coming season's fixtures were released.
The opening game of the season, on August 18th, see the Sky Blues away to Yeovil, while the second and third home fixtures are against Bury and Stevenage respectively (The opening home fixture is against play-off failures Sheffield United).
The Boxing Day fixture is also against Stevenage (Away, obviously), while New Years Day sees Coventry City at home to Shrewsbury - a real ground filler if ever there was one.
The final five fixtures read like Coventry City's normal pre-season opponents, with games against Walsall, Brentford, Crawley, Leyton Orient, and finally, away to Notts County (In a game that will hopefully see us leaving this division for the Championship once again).

There may not be glamorous names in there but as a Hartlepool supporter I can tell you that playing bigger clubs like Coventry helps increase attendances and interest in the game.
You will find a decent level of footballplayed in a very good spirit and without players diving and acting hysterically evey time they are touched, referees who want the players to be stars and not themselves, and a warm and genuine welcome at most clubs.
You won't be in this league for very long but you will enjoy your time in "Division Three."
