Duffer Deegan Departs After Damaging Team Mate

Prior to (Thankfully) departing Coventry City to join Hibernian, one of Gary Deegan's last acts as a Coventry City player was to crock the player likely to have been selected ahead of him in the team for the forthcoming campaign, Connor Thomas.

Having suffered ligament damage, Thomas will, as a consequence, miss the first month of the new season.

The average at best midfield player - who defied his 'Pitbull' nickname on many an occasion - finally managed the crunching challenge he was supposedly famous for, but it was sadly on one of his (Soon to be former) team-mates rather than the opposition.

Deegan was also recently in trouble with the club for stupid remarks made on Twitter, which saw him suspended by the club, though probably did help end his stint at Coventry City (Proof that social net-working sites do have their uses).

The club shop (Might) have reported that no replica shirts were brought back for replacing as a consequence of anybody having his name on the back.

Deegan's record at Coventry City was: played 29 matches (Plus 14 substitute appearances), scoring five goals, including an equaliser against Leicester City.
