Some people, playing down the frailties, repeatedly point out how far we've come in a very short space of time. Correct, but how far could we go if we learned how to defend better? Achieving promotion after the points deduction, and being minutes from going under before the season started, would be some achievement, and would finally give long-suffering fans reason to celebrate, and to be proud.

Our only win in the last five, away to MK Dons, complete with superb following, shows how easy the 'Swamp Sixfields' idea could have been! I've yet to have it properly explained to me why supporting a franchise club, by going to MK Dons, is okay, while whining about SISU supposedly turning CCFC into one, so staying away from Sixfields, isn't. The only excuse I've heard so far is: 'it happened ages ago, people have moved on'. Genius.

Fans have been asked to help design a/the new stadium. Few believe it will ever happen, so anybody planning to assist might as well go mad!

I was looking at something similar to Wembley, though such dreams are what got us in this mess in the first place. My plans are still as yet 'Top Secret', but I can confirm, in keeping with the times, there will be a One Parent Family Stand, and a Main(ly Empty) Stand (And maybe the 'Dick Turpin Stand' if ACL are still connected to the club).

As for increasing revenue streams, maybe the club could install their own bus lane cameras nearby, a la the Stoney Road cash generators? Said ground would pay for itself in no time at all.

The best way to appease supporters is to re-build Highfield Road in a convenient location, preferably with pubs nearby. Lots of pubs.

We're still only seven points from sixth place, seven points from fourth bottom, and still in the FA Cup, with a winnable fixture versus Barnsley if we can get past Hartlepool (Would love to see what happens if we reach Round 5 and draw a big team at 'home'!). My glass is still half full! Here's hoping our Christmas wishes come true....
