Unbeaten in five league games at home - all draws - Coventry City finally took three points at the sixth time of asking, and lifted themselves off the bottom of the table.
Youngster Ben Stevenson opened the scoring with a quality strike (Allowing lazy journalists everywhere to come out with the most obvious of comments), while Sordell added a second after a terrible mix-up in the Oxford defence - his fourth goal in ten starts.
'Cov Kid' Dan Crowley (On loan from Arsenal) scored in the 90th minute for Oxford, but the home side held on for the points, in front of a crowd of just under 10,000 (Though this figure was disputed by some that were in attendance!).
Former Coventry youngster Josh Ruffles, and popular loan signing Chris Maguire were in the starting XI for the away side.
