Perennial Crock II Wants A Move....

Julian Joachim has revealed that he is more than willing to leave CCFC, and CCFC have made it clear they are more than happy for him to leave - now if only somebody actually wanted to sign him....

He came, he got injured, he stayed for two years - but the pay was good, so who cares? Having come to CCFC as half of the `Dream Team' that was going to shoot CCFC straight back to the Premiership (The other half being the thankfully departed Lee Hughes), it's fair to say Julian Joachim has been a huge disappointment at Highfield Road. Despite once being hailed as potential England material, CCFC now cannot give him away! Five months after a younger member of JJ's family accidentally let slip during a match that he was out of the club in the summer, he's still here - still unwanted, and still drawing one of the biggest salaries at the club (If not the biggest). Chairman Mike McGinnity obviously wasn't to convinced JJ's injuries left him unplayable, having revealed on local radio that he told the striker to `get on the pitch or out of the club' - and said player, having managed only minutes in nearly two years, was back playing inside three days. As plenty of fans have stated, if he really wants to be a part of CCFC 2003/4, why not accept a pay-cut, more in keeping with what CCFC can afford theses days? The season starts for most tomorrow - in JJ's case, it's unlikely to start for a good while yet....
