Not a lot doing so far this summer Coventry City wise. If it doesn't get more exciting and newsworthy soon, I'll start making it up....

Mickey Adams signs on the dotted line and agrees to be Coventry City manager for the next three years - by which time 'Operation Premiership' will either have reached fruition, or have been nothing more than a daftly titled wish.

He makes his first two signings of the summer: David McNamee, of relegated Scottish Premier side Livingston; and Wayne Andrews from Crystal Palace. Andrews is blessed with something Coventry City sadly lack - pace.

Don Hutchson finally signed up for another season at the Arena.

Of the out-going players, Jonathan Tuffey is off to Patrick Thistle for at least a year.

Former F.A. Cup final winner Graham Rodger is the new boss at Grimsby.

More pre-season friendlies are announced, with the list so far reading: Nuneaton Borough (Thurs, July 20, 7.45pm); Notts County (Sun, July 23, 3pm); Tranmere Rovers (Weds, July 26, 7.45pm); and Boavista (Sat, July 29, 3pm). Reserve games have been scheduled for: Halseowen Town (Mon, July 17, 7.45pm); Hinckley Town (Tues, Aug 1, 7.45pm) and Rugby Town (Tues, Aug 8, 7.45pm).
