Wales To Play England At Old Trafford

Wales' World Cup Qualifying Group Six match away to England will be played at Manchester United's Old Trafford Stadium. It is believed around 6,000 tickets will be given to Welsh fans.

A senior FA spokesman told the South Wales Echo: "A decision has been made on that particular venue and it will be made public after the Euro 2004 finals.

"All I will say on the matter is that the fixture will be played at the biggest ground capacity in England."

Old Trafford currently has the biggest capacity of any ground in England with a total of 67,712 seats.

Wales must be given 10% of the seats but with security measures taken into consideration we will probably end up with around 6,000 seats.

The game is due to be played on 9th October 2004.
