Today (wednesday 11th August) is a sad day in the history of Derby County Football Club. Afterover 110 years of Derby County teams playing there the old Stadiums demolition begins.
A memorial to the old ground was planned by the supporters group RamsTrust at pride Park to link the two grounds and allow supporters to still see something of the old ground. However the powers that be at the moment at Pride Park have decided that the supporters would not want this memorial on the Pride Park site.
The RamsTrust however are continuing with their quest to recognise the huge part the Baseball Ground played in Rams history by continuing talks with the Walbrook group, new owners of the Baseball Ground site. The two groups hope to pool resources and erect a monument on the site of the old ground for supporters to view.
