Livermore moves to Hull

Summer capture, David Livermore has this afternoon joined Hull. The midfielder only joined Leeds three weeks ago for an undisclosed fee, beleived to be around £400k but will now leave before kicking a competitive ball for the club.

A statement from Leeds stated that Livermore joined before the £700k capture of Nicholls and that a second midfielder was also being chased. The news strongly suggests that Leeds will be announciung at least one more signing before the season starts no Saturday.

There is confusion though as Kevin Nicholls, who joined from Luton has picked up an injury in pre-season training that was quoted as being 'Quite serious' from the club.

This latest twist throws up several arguements - why sign someone that was unlikely to feature? Who will be joining the club in his place? How much money did we make or lose on this? What is the extent of the Nicholls injury?

On one hand, it suggests panic buying and selling but on the other, with Bates at the helm, it looks as though Leeds will focus on only the best players that can do the job at Elland Road.
